Indoor Signs
Lobby logos, directories, and the ADA signage your building inspector checks for.
Your business sign is the first thing people see, so it should look like you meant it. Gogi Signs is a full service sign company and working sign shop off Exit 13 in Linden, where our sign makers design, build, permit, and install custom business signs for storefronts, offices, and growing brands across all 21 NJ counties. One crew handles the whole job since 2005, township paperwork included. Brokers, printers, and contractors get the same floor at trade pricing, white label and blind shipped. One number to call, and nobody passes you around.
Six reasons business owners, brokers, and facilities teams across New Jersey keep coming back to the same shop in Linden. Design, permits, fabrication, and installation all run out of one building, so nobody hands your project to a stranger halfway through.
Family owned in Linden since 2005, with sign craft that goes back to 1989 in Brooklyn.
Certificates of insurance provided on request for landlords, GCs, and property managers.
Grand opening or landlord deadline? We schedule backward from your date.
Design, permit drawings, fabrication, and installation. One roof, one team, nothing subcontracted.
Channel letters and light boxes wired to UL 48 and tested on our floor before the truck leaves.
One point of contact from first sketch to final install, so nobody re-explains the job.

Every storefront in New Jersey answers to two audiences: the customers walking past and the township that approves the sign. A good sign company handles both: the design that pulls people off the sidewalk, and the zoning paperwork that lets it hang legally.

Bring a sketch. We route, weld, finish, permit, and install it.
From Jersey City lobbies to storefronts off the Parkway, here’s a sample of what left our shop recently. Real projects, photographed on the buildings they hang on.
No middlemen. One shop in Linden handles all four, from your first call to the final bolt, and whichever project this is our sign makers already know the first three questions to ask.
Opening a location. Free site survey, a mockup on photos of your real building for the landlord, and the township permit filed while fabrication starts.
Rebranding. New faces in existing cabinets, LED retrofits, and matching interior signage. Most face swaps clear without a new permit at all.
Expanding. One project manager, batch fabrication so location twelve matches location one, and permits filed in every township on your list.
Maintaining. Dark letters, flickering cabinets, cracked faces, faded vinyl. Routine service calls, whichever shop built the original sign.
Not sure which one fits? Call 908-486-7000 or send photos through the quote form and we’ll tell you straight.
No dimensions, no file, no idea whether the town would allow it. We measured his corner, drew it up, got it past the township, cut and welded it here in Linden, and installed it ourselves. He never spoke to anyone but us.
You bring the idea. A napkin sketch, a photo of another shop's sign, or just a paint chip off your wall.
We draw it to scale. A mockup on photos of your actual building, so you approve the real thing, not a guess.
We clear the township. Zoning and construction permits filed and walked through by us, not handed to you.
We build it in Linden. Routed, welded, painted, and wired on our own floor, then hung by our own crew.
Twelve industries, one shop. Below: the four we build for most, plus the rest of the businesses we work with every week.

Twelve locations, one schedule

Twenty years in Linden covers a lot of ground: gyms, galleries, marinas, houses of worship, and plenty we’re forgetting. Tell us what you do and we’ll tell you what usually works.
We build for the people who sell signs. Brokers, printers, agencies, and general contractors across New Jersey use our Linden floor as their own back of house.
The same six steps whether it’s one storefront in Linden or a twelve-location rollout across the state. Nothing is handed to a third party along the way.
A quick call or site visit to understand your goals, budget, and timeline.
We measure the façade, study sightlines, and photograph the real building.
Scaled mockups on your actual building, backed by production-ready drawings.
Compliant drawings prepared and walked through your township’s zoning office.
Cut, formed, painted, and wired in Linden, then tested before it ships.
Our own crew mounts, levels, and powers the sign, then stays reachable.
Inside the Shop
Fabrication stays in-house from raw material to finished sign. Nothing waits on anoutside vendor's schedule, and nothing leaves the floor untested.
Sheet parts and routed faces cut straight from the file, so panels fit the frame first time.
Clean-edge acrylic with no saw marks, for letters and lit faces that finish sharp.
Banners, wraps, and wall graphics printed here, then laminated against UV and scuffing.
Cut lettering and window graphics, weeded and taped ready for the installer.
Returns, frames, and cabinets welded on site, with a brake for formed pans and bodies.
Colour-matched finishes sprayed and cured in house, so the sign leaves looking finished.
Carved and architectural work for storefronts that call for wood instead of metal.
Our own trucks and crews, so the install date is ours to keep, not a subcontractor's.
Facilities directors and brand managers don’t need another vendor to babysit. They need a shop that shows up surveyed, permitted, insured, and on schedule. That’s the entire pitch, and we’ve been backing it up since 2005.
Every project starts with a site survey and ends with scaled, production-ready drawings. Your team sees the custom sign mocked up on photos of the real building before anything gets cut, and property managers get the engineering details and spec sheets they ask for. Approvals move faster when the paperwork is right the first time.
Nothing gets subcontracted. Your signage is cut, formed, painted, and wired in our Linden facility, then installed by our own crews with proper anchoring and clean electrical work. Illuminated pieces get tested on our floor before the truck leaves. And when a location needs service years later, the shop that built it picks up the phone.

Almost every storefront sign in New Jersey clears two separate approvals. We run both, so the first thing you hear about the permit is that it closed.
The municipal step. It sets size, height, setback, and how the sign may be lit. Every town writes its own ordinance. Linden’s code isn’t Elizabeth’s, and Elizabeth’s isn’t Edison’s.
The state step, filed under the NJ Uniform Construction Code (N.J.A.C. 5:23), with the electrical subcode added if the sign lights up.
Only if the design exceeds the ordinance. Going over means the Zoning Board of Adjustment, so budget four to eight extra weeks. We’ll tell you before you commit to the design.
The final ruling always belongs to your township, but we design to its ordinance from day one and walk the application through ourselves.
Signage is a long-term investment, and most buyers only make it once or twice. These are the things worth understanding first, written from twenty years of answering the same questions on the phone.
Acrylic, aluminum, Dibond, PVC, and HDU: what each one costs, how long it lasts outdoors, and where it makes sense.
Every township writes its own code on size, height, and illumination. Here's how the approval process actually works.
Anchoring, electrical, lift access, and scheduling: what happens on install day and what we need from your building.
How to clean faces without hazing them, when to retrofit older lighting to LED, and what routine service prevents.
Short reads from twenty years of building, permitting, and installing custom signs for businesses in New Jersey.
The things business owners, brokers, and facilities teams actually ask us, answered the way we’d answer them on the phone.

Free site surveys anywhere in New Jersey from a sign company that picks up the phone. Itemized quotes, usually within one business day.
A New Jersey sign company designs, fabricates, permits, and installs commercial signage. Gogi Signs handles all four in-house from our Linden shop: scaled design mockups on photos of your actual building, fabrication with CNC routing and UL 48 electric sign assembly, municipal zoning and N.J.A.C. 5:23 construction permit filing, and insured installation with final inspection. One company, one phone number, one closed permit handed over with the sign.
Vinyl window lettering starts around $150. Yard signs run $8 to $35 per unit. Interior lobby and dimensional letter signs run $600 to $2,500. Illuminated channel letters typically fall between $2,500 and $12,000 depending on letter height and lit style. Full vehicle wraps run $2,800 to $6,500, and monument signs start around $6,000. Municipal permit fees are separate, usually $75 to $400. Because we fabricate in-house, every project starts with a free itemized quote so you know where each dollar goes.
Almost always. Under N.J.A.C. 5:23-2.14, a sign is exempt from a New Jersey construction permit only if it is ground-supported, carries no directly connected electrical circuit, is no larger than 25 square feet on one face, and sits no higher than six feet. Wall signs, illuminated signs, and anything larger need both zoning approval and a construction permit, and every township writes its own rules on size, height, and illumination. Linden's code is not Elizabeth's, and Elizabeth's is not Edison's. We design to your town's ordinance from the start, file the application, and walk it through to the closed permit.
Banners, decals, and rigid signs are often produced within a few business days. A straightforward storefront sign runs three to six weeks from approved artwork, with roughly one to three of those weeks being municipal permit review, which varies by township. A design that needs a variance from the Zoning Board of Adjustment adds four to eight weeks. If you have a grand opening or a landlord deadline, tell us up front. We schedule production backward from your date.
Yes. Our trade program covers sign brokers, print shops, marketing agencies, and general contractors. You get volume pricing, white-label fulfillment, and blind shipping so your client relationship stays yours. Many partners also use our CNC and laser cutting as an extension of their own shop, sending production files and picking up finished parts. Standard wholesale turnaround runs 3 to 7 business days, next-day production is available on select products, and quotes carry a price match guarantee. Reach out with what you resell and your typical volume, and we'll put real numbers in front of you.
That's some of our favorite work. One project manager runs the whole program: site surveys at every location, permit applications in each township, batch fabrication for consistency, and installation crews scheduled so the rollout finishes on one timeline instead of twelve. Facilities teams get certificates of insurance, engineering drawings, and a single phone number for the entire program.
All the time. Dark letters, flickering cabinets, water damage, cracked faces, and faded vinyl are routine repairs for our technicians, no matter who built the sign originally. We also retrofit older lighting with modern LEDs, which brings back the brightness, cuts the electric bill, and reduces future service calls. If your sign has gone dim, one phone call gets a tech scheduled.
All 21 New Jersey counties and more than 560 municipalities, from our shop at 7 W Baltimore Ave, Suite 301 in Linden, right off Exit 13. Our busiest markets are Newark, Jersey City, Elizabeth, Paterson, Edison, Clifton, Trenton, Toms River, and the Route 22 and Route 1 corridors. We also serve all five boroughs of New York City.
Yes. Neon signs, red carpets, and backdrop lifts are all available as rentals for launches, weddings, trade shows, and pop-ups, delivered and set up by the same crews that handle our permanent installs. Rentals pair well with our event signage: step and repeat banners, backdrops, table throws, and sidewalk signs, all printed in the Linden shop.
Of course. Print shops, fabricators, and makers send us production files for CNC routing, laser cutting, acrylic cutting, and vinyl cutting, then pick up finished parts, often the same week. We also teach vinyl wrap training for installers who want to bring application skills in-house. Send the file in the morning and we'll confirm material, timing, and price the same day.
Call the shop or send the form below. You’ll get a free itemized quote, usually within one business day, from the same team that will build and install your sign.
